Accessibility

My commitment

JBO is for everyone in our business community. I want this website and the directory to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disability, in line with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth). I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What I have done

• Pages can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
• Images that carry meaning have text descriptions
• Text and buttons are checked for colour contrast
• Pages adapt to phones, tablets and zoomed-in screens
• Moving photos and videos on the home page can be paused with the “Pause motion” button, and they stay still if your device is set to reduce motion
• Background videos are silent and decorative, so no information is lost if they are paused

Known limitations

• Photos and text that members upload to their own profiles may not always include descriptions.
• Some older parts of the directory are still being reviewed and improved.
